Kirkwood Ski AreaKirkwood is about 45 minutes from South Lake Tahoe, it has giant bowls that often has lighter snow than found in Tahoe. It is one of the most balanced resort in the Tahoe region. Ice Skating: Kirkwood has a 6000' Village Ice Rink. The outdoor rink is open throughout the winter, weather permitting.
